THE GREENS OF PERU TOWARDS THE 2006

The Green Party of Peru has initiated a great national effort to be present in the national political process of the year 2006 elaborating the proposal of Sustainable Peru.

Undoubtedly, we will play a lead role in the process of democratic reinforcement that will generate in most of the Peruvians the social commitment with environmental component.

The Green young people, within our party, are the great motor who will be spreading all through the Republic of Peru the "Green Gospel", a message quite different in the electoral supply from 2006.

The great crisis that nowadays strikes the people of Latin America impels our green organization to give a different answer in the search of social justice.

The urgent demand to change the present structures that have generated social injustice is in the first order of our proposals as an ecological party.

The traditional parties and other ideological options that already were alternated in the power in Peru nowadays enjoy a discredit within 90% of the population. Here resides the validity of Green Political Thought as a different ideological option for all the Peruvians in the context of the globalized world
in which our planet develops.

Today we hoisted a real and participative democracy that generates human chains of solidarity working towards the great national objectives:

To declare the external debt unpayable and to look into other different forms to fulfill the
international obligations
Change of external debt for oxygen contribution
Economy with human face and environmental commitment
Reduction of the Poverty
Suitable health and education of quality
Efficient decentralization
Frontal fighting against corruption
Policy of development of the national borders with pacifists' vocation
Agro-ecology that defeats the poverty of the farmer
Agro-ecological exportations to the market of eco-consumers
Tourism, as a priority in the state policy

We also proclaim that without justice there is no pardon or forgetfulness
In the subjects of social justice:
National Reconciliation
Fairness of gender against all forms of discrimination
Policies to develop pacifists' values

Today we ratify our proposals of consolidation of the democracy:
No to the immediate re-election
For the bicameralidad.
For the abolition of the presidential regime and in search of a parliamentarian state
For the respect of the electoral minorities
For the real and effective representation of the indigenous communities
For the free vote, independent and voluntary

These proposals are the expectation of millions of Peruvians that yearn for the year 2006 to have the opportunity to vote for a new party without commitments with the past but with a clear vision of the future.
